RCMP are investigating the death of a 74 year old man on the Acadian Peninsula.
Officers who went to a residence on Tilley Road near Tracadie-Sheila and found the body of a man in a shed that had burned down.
The fire marshal is also investigating…but the Mounties do not suspect foul play at this time.
Mounties are getting a raise…with some back pay.
The Treasury Board has approved a salary increase of 1.25% as of January 1, 2015 and another 1.25% as of January 1 last year. Many will also get another 2.3% market adjustment next month.
Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale says the raises will bring the RCMP in line with 8 other police forces across canada who cover 90% of the population.
