Premier on quality of life in NB

Premier Brian Gallant says he’s not surprised that New Brunswick topped all other provinces in a Conference Board of Canada report for quality of life.

The province didn’t fare as well in other categories ending up with an overall fgrade of “B”…but that was better than the “C” given to the other Atlantic Provinces.

The report looked at factors including income inequality, poverty and social cohesion in Canada and 16 other countries giving New Brunswick a grade of “A+” for life satisfaction. Gallant says this confirms what New Brunswickers already know…this province is a great place to live, work and raise a family.

Trump attacks Syria with cruise missiles

President Donald Trump ordered cruise missile attacks on a Syrian military base last night in retaliation for the chemical attack earlier this week that left at least 80 civilians dead including children.

American officials believe Syrian military aircraft from the base dropped the weapons containing chlorine mixed with a nerve agent, possibly sarin.

The U-S fired about 60 cruise missiles last night. Trump issued a brief statement calling on all civilized nations to join the U-S in seeking an end to the carnage in Syria.
