Higgs wants Gallant’s resignation
Opposition Leader Blaine Higgs continues to hammer away at Premier Brian Gallant over the property assessment scandal. He wants the premier to resign.
Higgs says the unravelling of the government’s tax methods and its evolving response to the tales from property owners shows that more than an inquiry is needed…suggesting this may go into fraud and deception. Higgs told CBC there’s a deeper story than just the tax issue.
Earlier this week, Gallant apologized for the assessment fiasco and asked a retired judge to review all the policies and proceedures related to the process.
