In the NHL playoffs…Canadiens downed the Rangers 3-1 to take a two game to one lead. The Oilers also have a two game to one lead after shutting down the Sharks 1-0. The Penguins won their third straight but needed overtime against Columbus 5-4. The Blues beat Minnesota 3-1 for their third straight.
The Blue Jay’s lost to the Orioles 11-4. Red Sox downed the Rays 7-5. Yankees easily over St. Louis 9-3.
In the NBA playoffs…Celtics lost the first game in their series 106 to 102 to the Bulls.
Canada’s Stephen Ames won the Mitsubishi Electric Classic on the P-G-A Champions Tour.
