Crime Stoppers and RCMP are still investigating a suspicious 2014 fire on Grand Manan. It broke out around midnight that August 13th at a Route 776 residence. The house was vacant at the time and had no power, and was destroyed. Get in touch with any information.

Hammond River Brewing Company getting provincial funding for expansion
Hammond River Brewing Company is getting provincial funding. $69,500 is being put in to help add a bottling line, and open a tasting room. The craft brewery was founded in Quispamsis in 2013, and is now moving to a 3000 sq. foot facility in Rothesay. It’s expected to open this spring, and create up to three jobs in the next year.
