In the NHL playoffs…the Penguins beat the Capitals 3-2 to take a three game to one lead.  The Oilers and Ducks are tied at two games each after a 4-3 overtime win by Anaheim.

The Riptide beat the Island Storm 101-96 to open their NBL playoff series at Harbour Station.

NBA playoffs saw the Raptors lose their second straight to the Cavaliers 125-103.

In baseball…the Yankees downed the Blue Jays 8-6. Boston beat Baltimore 4-2.

Campbellton booze case to go before Supreme Court

The Supreme Court of Canada will weigh in on the case of cross-border alcohol limits.  A provincial court tossed out charges against Gerard Comeau of Tracadie after he was caught coming back from Quebec with more than the 12 out-of-province pints New Brunswick allows.  The Supreme Court has granted the Gallant government’s application for leave to appeal.
