The Gallant Government is giving the Irving Pulp and Paper mill at Reversing Falls a new Class 1 air quality approval rating.
The current one expires at the end of the month and the new takes effect June 1st. This comes after a four month public review.
A Cap-Pelé man has died in hospital after a crash late Sunday night.
First responders were sent to Bas-Cap-Pelé Road just before midnight where a car had gone off the road and smashed into a culvert.
The 31 year old man who was driving died in hospital the next day. Two passengers, a 19 year old man and an 18 year old woman, were also taken to hospital.
The preliminary investigation indicates speed and alcohol are possible factors.
