After two and half months the road connecting Moncton to the Fundy National Park has finally been reopened. Route 114 reopened to traffic late Friday after 10 weeks of travellers being forced to endure a 22 kilometer detour. On March 2nd a culvert and bridge in Stoney Creek were washed out in heavy rains -forcing the route to be closed. The route is vital to local business during the tourism season – connecting the Moncton area to the Fundy National Park and the Hopewell Rocks.
