A Saint John High student won the major awards at Saturday’s ViewFinders: Atlantic Film Festival for Youth Competition in Halifax. Grade 12 Spencer Hetherington won People’s Choice, Best Drama and Best Documentary for his films Relic and The Water Witch.

Minto loses grocery store to morning fire
Minto has lost its only grocery store after a morning fire. The Foodland on Main Street was destroyed after going ablaze around 7, but there are no reports of any injuries. The cause is also unknown at this time.
