A Yarmouth County man has been given four months in jail for sexting with a pre-teen. 19-year-old Justin Michael Arenburg admitted to it, and had said he planned to start a family with the 11-year-old Kings County girl. He also got 20 months’ probation.

Request for proposals issued for taxi review
The city has issued a request for proposals for a comprehensive review of its taxi industry. The last time taxis and limos were reviewed was in 1994. Service delivery, passenger and driver safety measures and more will be looked at, and consultations will be done with Halifax Transit, Regional Police, people with disabilities and others.
