Hawkes Trial

Testifying at his own trial, prominent Toronto pastor Brent Hawkes has denied he performed sex acts on a teenage boy at his trailer in Nova Scotia in the mid-1970s.

In Hawkes’ words _ quote _ “It’s not true. It did not happen.”

Earlier this week, a man testified in a Kentville courtroom that Hawkes forced oral sex on him during a party at Hawkes’ home in Greenwood, Nova Scotia.

Hawkes was then a teacher in his mid-20s in the Annapolis Valley. The trial continues on Monday.
