The NSTU has announced it will institute a work to rule campaighn beginning Monday in its contract dispute with the government.

Teachers will arrive 20 minutes before school starts and leave 20 minutes after.

There’ll be no extra-curricular activities.

Education Minister Karen Casey said she was disappointed by the move.

The winds have calmed and lobster fishermen are expected to dump traps from 1,700 boats around the southwest coast today.

Dumping day was delayed from yesterday by DFO after consultation with fisheries groups concerned about safety with yesterday’s high winds.
