Woodstock high school hockey team suspended

A high school principal in Woodstock says the school’s entire hockey team has been suspended for the rest of the year because its players violated a code of conduct. Bill Hogan wasn’t specific about just what the infraction was…just that they broke the code of behaviour contract they sign at the beginning of the school year.

Part of that contract has to do with making good choices when it comes to tobacco, alcohol and drugs. Some reports say it had to do with a team party for rookies.

NB teens need more sleep

More than half of the province’s young people aren’t getting enough sleep.

A report by the New Brunswick Health Council says over 60% of youth and children are not sleeping at least 8 hours a night, partly because of technology.  The report says recreational use of devices with screens before bedtime has been shown to delay people falling sleep.
