Springhill’s elementary schools are getting musical instruments thanks to its favourite daughter. Anne Murray is donating $1200 to West End Memorial and Junction Road Elementary, with the Citizen-Record reporting they’ll get maracas, egg shakers, rhythm sticks and beyond.

Sea-doo stolen in Douglastown
Police are investigating a stolen sea-doo. It was taken overnight Saturday from a Douglastown yard, along with its trailer. The sea-doo is bright yellow in colour. Contact police with any information.
