Members of Inverness District RCMP’s Street Crime Enforcement Unit stopped a vehicle on Reeves St. on February 22 at 4 p.m., and as a result charged two men for drug-related offences. RCMP officers seized cocaine and drug paraphernalia from the driver and passenger.
Jared Bradford McNamara, 29, and Sean Dale Simon, 35, both of Port Hawkesbury have been charged. Both men were held for court and released on conditions. They return to Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on March 27.

Doctor Free to Practice
A New Glasgow doctor is allowed to practice again after having his license suspended for voyeurism. Dr. Rafid Al-Nassar was charged in November for allegedly secretly recording a woman in his clinic’s washroom. The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia says he must now have a chaperone while with patients (outside the OR), and a sign about this has to be up in waiting and exam rooms.
