The province will put $500,000 towards Curl Moncton’s strategic infrastructure project. It’ll expand the organization’s Lockhart Avenue venue to a 10-ice-sheet facility from its present five. Beyond more opportunities for locals, it would give the building a better chance at hosting national and international events. Funding is conditional on a federal contribution, plus Curl Moncton securing the rest.

Suspicious fire in St. Stephen
RCMP are investigating a suspicious fire in St. Stephen. A Pine Street house suffered major damage Friday night, with a neighbouring house suffering its own. No one was hurt when it broke out before 10:00.
