Joseph Garrick O’Donnell has been given a suspended sentence for pointing a gun at his brother-in-law. The 58-year-old Miramichi man had admitted to the February 2016 incident at a Wellington Street home. He also got a year’s supervised probation, fines and bans, and has already served house arrest and time in custody.

Province to spend $33 million on Miramichi-area highways: Fraser
Bill Fraser says the province will spend $33 million on highway work in the Miramichi. Routes 11 and 108 will be major parts of the infrastructure upgrades, with the latter being a notoriously dangerous two-lane stretch.
