A proposed housing development for west end Campbellton has been sent to the Restigouche Regional Service Commission. EB Construction wants the land at the end of Malcolm Street rezoned from R2 to R3, which are single-family and multi-family respectively.

Two suspicious deaths at east side hotel
The major crime unit of the police is at the Best Western Hotel on Majors Brook Drive investigating an apparent double homicide. The investigation is in its early stages and no details are available yet, other than the call came in from the hotel yesterday evening.
Police have cordoned off one corridor on the ground floor but guests are allowed to come and go.
