Miramichi is getting ready for the arrival of the tall ships in early July.
Miramichi city council OK’d two motions, including the release of 110 thousand dollars that will be used to market the upcoming Rendez-Vous 2017 event, and also cover some of the cost needed to host it.
Big Hearts Small City is looking for a lead volunteer for the Miramichi area.
The person would manage day-to-day operations, with duties including social media; helping get more apartment owners in the database to help fire victims, and volunteer recruitment.
The organization is holding a special meeting for those interested today from 10-noon at Miramichi Volunteer Services.
