Lisa LeBlanc up for Polaris Music Prize

A New Brunswick musician is up for this year’s Polaris Music Prize.  Rosaireville’s Lisa LeBlanc got the nomination for her album Why You Wanna Leave, Runaway Queen?  She’s up against Gord Downie, Feist, the late Leonard Cohen and others, with the winner getting $50,000.

Kings County athletes at Canada Summer Games

Kings County will be well represented at this year’s Canada Summer Games.  Swimmer Kelten Fawcett, basketball players Carli Church and Allan Nixon, cyclist Chandler Scott, wrestler Christopher O’Toole and swimming brother and sister Gabrielle and Alex Corasaniti will compete.  The Games go July 28th-August 13th in Winnipeg.
