The Conservative leadership French debate last night was held against the backdrop of rumours of a new candidate entering the frey shortly. Celebrity businessman Kevin O’Leary, who doesn’t speak French, but is learning, will finally launch his campaign today in Toronto.
O’Leary of Shark Tank fame says he’s getting frustrated that there are still so many candidates still in the running for the May leadership vote.
In the Q-League…the Sea Dogs chewed up the Wildcats 7-2 at Harbour Station.
NHL action…the Leafs beat Buffalo 4-3. Canucks shut down the Predators 1-0 in Vancouver. Flames burned the Panthers 5-2. Senators got by the Blues 6-4.
In the NBA…the Raptors won their fourth straight downing the Nets 119-109 in Brooklyn.
In the NBL…the Miracles ripped the Riptide 126-105 at the Coliseum.
At the Australian Open…Eugenie Bouchard won her second round match in styraight sets over China’s Peng Shuai.
