Prison for deadly drunk driver

A 22 year old woman from Tracy Mills is going to prison for 42 months for drunk driving causing the death of 16 year old Emma Pearson near Centreville in Carleton County in 2015.

Whitney St. Pierre pleaded guilty last September to impaired driving causing the Pearson’s death and injuries to herself and four others when her car left the road.

Trudeau on pipelines

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says his Liberals inherited mistrust from the previous Harper Government when it comes to pipelines.

When asked about the energy east pipeline proposal at a town hall meeting in Fredericton yesterday he said the government has enhanced the process for pipeline approvals to make sure there’s more public input.
