An Ontario firm is suing the province after being denied two bridge-repair contracts. Eiffage Innovative Canada filed against the DOT for over $13 million, saying it put in the lowest bids for Miramichi’s Centennial Bridge and the Tobique River Bridge No. 1.

NB Investment in Sears to Bring 540 Jobs to Province
For the second time this week the New Brunswick government has announced a major investment in Sears Canada. On Wednesday, the province announced it will spend 3.5-million dollars to help Sears open a business centre in Edmundston, and on Friday it announced 5.2-million in funding for a business centre in Saint John. The two business centres are expected to provide 540 new jobs.
