A Memramcook man is among 16 people arrested in a large theft ring responsible for millions of dollars in stolen goods…from lobsters to luxury cars.
Raids were conducted yesterday in Memramcook and various Quebec locations. Police recovered over $5 million worth of stolen property as they dismantled a theft ring that targeted cargo trucks for whatever goods they were carrying. The group was committing several thefts a week.
The Mounties are looking for two suspects in an unusual case of vandalism.
They’re asking for the public’s help in identifying two people who damaged an ice sculpture by knocking it over in Sackville last month. They have released surveillance photos showing one of the suspects using a foot to push at the sculpture. Police say they believe the individuals had just left a restaurant prior to the incident.
