Missing Ontario woman sought in Maritimes

RCMP in New Brunswick are asking people to be on a lookout for a woman missing from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

64 year old Nora Simm has been missing since March 7 and the Mounties think she could be headed to the Maritimes because she has family here. Simm is 5’2″, 170 lbs., short brown hair, brown eyes and glasses. She may be driving a grey 2003 Toyota Camry with Ontario license plate BTMD 422.

Anyone with information should contact their local RCMP detachment or Sault Ste. Marie police.

Alberta judge resigns over courtroom comment

A controversial judge in Alberta has now resigned before he could be fired.

Robin Camp asked a sexual assault complainant why she couldn’t keep her knees together.

The Canadian Judicial Council recently recommended he be removed from the bench due to conduct profoundly destructive to the integrity of the judiciary. The Council said Canadians expect judges to know the law and have empathy.
