Frigid temperatures forced the cancellation of a number of events across Northern New Brunswick on Saturday. Temperatures dipped down to as cold as minus 30 degrees celsius in some areas. A fundraising polar bear dip in Miramichi, Fireworks in Tracadie, a rally in Fairisle and some festivities at the Dalhousie Winter Carnival were among the events forced to postpone or cancel due to the extreme cold.
