The Department of Energy and Resource Development and NB Power are teaming up for public info sessions on renewable energy projects. The program allows universities, non-profit organizations, associations, co-ops, First Nations and municipalities to partner with the utility to install small-scale renewable sources. Codiac RCMP is asking for the public’s help in investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed three buildings in Moncton. On February 11, 2017, emergency crews responded to a fire in a vacant building on Park Street around 11:10 p.m. When they arrived, they found the building completely engulfed in flames. The fire spread due to the extreme heat, and also destroyed two neighbouring vacant buildings.
The cause of the fire is considered suspicious, and the investigation is continuing.
