Provincial lobbyists are reminded that they must register by July 1st. The Lobbyist Registration Act took effect Saturday, and failure to register or renew and provide accurate and complete information, or making false and misleading statements will result in monetary penalties. Registration applies to people spending or intending to spend at least 20% of their time lobbying in a three-month period.

Not criminally responsible for threatening City Hall employees
A Moncton man has been found not criminally responsible for threatening to kill City Hall employees. 45-year-old Aaron Charles McGovern did a psychiatric assessment that found mental illness played a role in February’s incident. The case has been sent to the New Brunswick Review Board.
