Only two provinces and one territory didn’t see real GDP growth in 2016. Stats Can says Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories went down. New Brunswick went up 1.4%, while the national number was 1.3%.

Shephard waves prelim inquiry; to be tried in Wylie murder
Marissa June Shephard will be tried in Baylee Wylie’s death. The 21-year-old Monctonian has waived her right to a preliminary inquiry, and a trial date will be set June 5th. She faces first-degree murder and arson after Wylie’s body was found in a Sumac Street home in December 2015.
