Petitcodiac Regional School will offer early French immersion in September. Its addition means 68 schools will be offering it, including seven new elementary schools. The new Grade 1 program will have a stronger literacy focus, with emphasis on oral language.

Deadly crash
A Cap-Pelé man has died in hospital after a crash late Sunday night.
First responders were sent to Bas-Cap-Pelé Road just before midnight where a car had gone off the road and smashed into a culvert.
The 31 year old man who was driving died in hospital the next day. Two passengers, a 19 year old man and an 18 year old woman, were also taken to hospital.
The preliminary investigation indicates speed and alcohol are possible factors.
