The third session of the 58th Legislative Assembly closed today with 63 bills passed. Families, education and the economy were the focus, with next year’s introduction of Family Day, more tuition relief and cutting the small-business tax rate among changes.

Advance voting for municipal byelections/first election/plebiscite
Advance voting is on tomorrow for municipal byelections in Le Goulet, Maisonnette, and Salisbury; a first election in Haut-Madawaska and a plebiscite in the Lamèque-Miscou region. Polls will be open from 10-8, with the main votes being held Monday the 15th.
