Majority of reissued property tax bills decreased: province

The province says the vast majority of reissued property tax bills have been decreased.  Service New Brunswick reissued 1858 bills on Thursday, with more to come in July.  It anticipates late this year or early next year for each request to be processed.  Auditor General Kim MacPherson will also now take over the situation’s review, as Justice Joseph Robertson gave it up when he found out she was doing a similar investigation.

February 2018 murder, arson trial for Shephard

Marissa June Shephard will be tried next year for her role in Baylee Wylie’s death.  The 21-year-old’s first-degree murder and arson trial was set for February.  Wylie was killed at a Sumac Street residence in December 2015.
