Minister Donald Arseneault has released a statement in honour of World Refugee Day. It’s marked around the world today, and was created by the UN in 2000. Arseneault mentioned the “tremendous generosity and compassion from New Brunswickers” towards Syrian refugees, and says we’ve resettled over 1700 since December 2015.

NB has top two areas for lowest hourly wages in Canada
New Brunswick has the two worst areas in Canada for average hourly pay. Stats Can says Edmundston-Woodstock has an average wage of $19.40, and Campbellton-Miramichi is at $21.30. The national average is $27.70, with Wood Buffalo-Cold Lake in northeastern Alberta having the highest average at $36.50.
