The province has signed a collective agreement with CUPE Local 1253. The union represents about 1700 school bus drivers, custodians, maintenance and repair staff, forepersons and other tradespeople in our school districts. The five-year contract includes an annual 1% wage increase.

NSCC, CCNB sign agreement for collaborative marine training
An agreement signed by Nova Scotia Community College and Collège Communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick will see collaborative marine training within New Brunswick and Quebec. The two-year strategic alliance has curriculum developed by NSCC, in partnership with Irving Shipbuilding.
