Fence Jumping Moose Closes Popular Attraction in Saint Andrews

An unwanted visitor forced a kids event to change plans, and a popular attraction to close, in Saint Andrews, NB on Saturday. The Telegraph Journal reports that a 600 pound moose jumped the fence at Kingsbrea Garden early Saturday morning. The large moose was eventually tranquilized and removed by the Department of Energy and Resource Development – but not until 3pm – forcing the popular garden attraction to remain closed to visitors for much of the day. The Children’s Splash and Dash race, part of the Revolution 3 triathlon event taking place in Saint Andrew’s this weekend, was also forced to move it’s finish line due to the threat of the moose.
