Five communities will host public meetings to share concerns about the January Ice Storm that crippled parts of the province for 10 days.
The 90 minute public meetings will be held April 3rd to 6th in Tracadie, Bas-Caraquet, Lameque, Miramichi and Richibucto.
The meetings are part of the province’s review of the response to the ice storm which at it’s height knocked out power to 130-thousand-people.
A final report with recommendations is expected in July.
The Nature Miramichi Club is inviting you to their monthly meeting for presentations about various aspects of nature.
It gets underway tonight at 6:30 at the Nelson Senior Citizens Centre.
Speakers include forester Jim Saunders and Dave McLeod, a retired field biologist; who will talk about their report based on their research this past summer on Beaubears Island regarding the distribution and current diversity of plant and animal life.
