The yearly Miramichi Ray Thibodeau cross country ski event will be held this Sunday morning at 11 at the Miramichi Cross Country Ski Club, followed by a lunch at one.
Distances are 2.5, 5; 8, 14; or 28 kilometers.

NB to ensure seniors have greater access to their grandchildren
New Brunswick is taking steps to help ensure seniors have greater access to their grandchildren.
Proposed amendments to the Family Services Act will emphasize that continuing healthy relationships with grandparents or other family members is in the best interests of the child.
The changes would affect decisions by the courts when considering orders for access.
Child and Youth Advocate Norman Bosse calls the change a wonderful development for both children and their grandparents.
