New Brunswick Day celebrations start early this year in honour of Canada 150. An event will be held in Miramichi on July 22nd during the Irish Festival. A seven-week celebration of Canada 150 will kick off across the province on Canada Day, while Edmundston will host the province’s official 2017 New Brunswick Day celebrations on August 7th.

The Sunrise Campground owner is fed up with tax increases
The owner of the Sunrise Campground in Miramichi, Ed Innis; isn’t too pleased with the New Brunswick liberals regarding his yearly tax bill.
His taxes used to be 45 hundred dollars, now; he has to cough up over 11 thousand.
Innis told The Leader he feels that “We’re living in a communist country and people need to smarten up and realize that. It’s all just dictate, dictate; dictate!”
He plans to appeal again.
Innis added those tax hikes could kill the camping industry, as customers won’t be happy with camping fee increases.
