A new provincial program has been unveiled for energy retrofit and efficiency projects at community centres. Non-profits and municipalities can apply for non-repayable contributions up to $25,000 on approved projects through the Regional Development Corporation. They include siding, insulation, doors and windows, and lighting and heating systems.

Mifegymiso to have universal access in NB
The province will introduce a program to provide universal access to Mifegymiso, commonly referred to as the abortion pill. It became available in January for use in Canada, and the Department of Health will soon allow any woman with a valid Medicare card to be eligible for the pill free of charge.
