NB forest fire season now on

Forest fire season is underway in New Brunswick.  Anyone igniting a Category 1 fire should ensure burning is allowed in that area. This can be done by calling the toll-free burn line or visiting the Department of Energy and Resource Development website.  Category 2, 3 and 4 fires need a written permit, with applications available at the department’s district offices.  Forest fire season is on until October 31st unless otherwise indicated.

Suspect pics released in two B&Es

Southeast RCMP have released pictures of suspects in two break and enters. The Coop in Saint-Paul-de-Kent and Harry’s Variety in Harcourt were targeted early Saturday morning. Nothing was taken from either store, and police believe the incidents are related. See surveillance photos here:
