Miramichi called a “daydream territory”

According to CTV and The Leader, Miramichi is one of the six small “villages” in Canada you should visit.

The article was penned by Heather Greenwood-Davis, a travel writer for National Geographic; calling Miramichi “daydream territory.”

Items featured include the Metepenagiag Heritage Park, winter activities like snowmobiling; ATV’ing, the Striper Cup; and events such as the tall ships, the Irish, and the Rock ‘n’ Roll Festivals.

Miramichi-area church meetings

The local Diocese is planning to reduce the number of churches they have.

The first public meeting will be today starting at 12:30 in the afternoon at St Mary’s Church on Newcastle Boulevard, followed by one starting at 7pm, at St Michael’s Basilica, on Howard Street.

A third meeting will also be held on Wednesday at 12:30pm at St Bridget’s Church in Renous.
