Miramichi police dealt with multiple incidents of intoxicated people last night and this morning. Around 8 last night a 26-year-old man was also found to have narcotics on him after a complaint from a Pleasant Street merchant. Then just before 10 a 29-year-old woman was taken out of the hospital ER and held until sober, then this morning just after 8 a 41-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving.

Bail hearing delayed for man accused of drug trafficking
The bail hearing for a man accused of drug trafficking in Esgenoôpetitj has been delayed. 35-year-old Jesse Michael Joe of Fredericton is now due back in court May 17th after his lawyer asked for time to review files. He’s one of two men arrested last Thursday after a pill with fentanyl was found on the First Nation.
