Recently, Sebastien Bertin of Beresford was the big winner at the 2017 Atlantic Classic championships in Moncton.
He won the men’s heavyweight class, the overall bodybuilding title; and best poser award.
Other award winners included Jonathan Brideau of Tracadie, Bathurst’s Candice McLean; Lisa Hachey of Beresford, Miramichi’s Jacques Beaulieu; Brandy Donald, Ryley Larsen; Amy Trevors, and Ashley Daley.
Club Montreal, a gay bar in Saint John; hopes to get permission to have male Chip ‘n’ Dale dancers perform, but the city wants the province to reconsider.
Mayor Don Darling wrote a letter to the public safety minister.
His letter reads “While standards attached to licenses issued by the Department of Public Safety prohibit full nudity and contact between performers and patrons it is also our understanding that activities may occur in the unlicensed areas of the facility.”
Darling added that adult entertainment is not permitted uptown, only in adult entertainment commercial zones.
