A public meeting is being held Saturday morning about DFO’s planned closure of the Northwest Miramichi River.

According to Stats Can, Miramichi has 24 per cent of residents over the age of 65; Bathurst checked in with almost 29 per cent.

Dalhousie has one of the highest percentages of residents over 65; almost 37 per cent.

Campbellton stands at just over 26 per cent.
