Grade 7 students in four francophone schools will learn coding starting on Monday. A pilot project in partnership with Moncton-based EduCode Canada includes École Écho-Jeunesse in Kedgwick, Place-des-Jeunes in Bathurst, École Le Tremplin in Tracadie and École Sainte-Anne in Fredericton. Students will code for an hour per week for four weeks.

Fraud, theft trial to happen this month for former Astle woman
A former Astle woman will be tried this month for fraud and theft. 47-year-old Gina Michelle MacKay-Munn is accused of bilking more than $100,000 from O’Donnell Line and Electric in Porter Cove. It’s said to have happened while she worked there between 2008-2012.
