The province is investing $150,000 for a new downtown park in Tracadie. It’ll include a fountain, and is meant to make the downtown area more dynamic and pay tribute to the founders of Tracadie. The funding also honours Canada 150.

Boat, trailer stolen
Miramichi Police are investigating last week’s theft of a boat and trailer. They were taken sometime Thursday evening from a lot on General Mason Way. The boat is a 1992 Wellcraft, 223 Eclipse, and is 21 feet long and white with teal trim.
