Canada Day is the start of a summer of celebration in New Brunswick. Season events include Tall Ships visiting Caraquet, Miramichi and Saint John. Early New Brunswick Day celebrations happen each Saturday in July as Grand Bay-Westfield, Florenceville-Bristol, Miramichi and Dorchester host respectively starting next weekend. The official New Brunswick Day celebration is in Edmunston this year.

Lots going on for Canada Day in the Miramichi. The parade starts at 1 in Newcastle, the fireworks are at 10:30 at Waterford Green, there’s the Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival, Fishermen’s Powwow and more. See more at the Downtowns Miramichi Facebook page. The outdoor activities on Water Street did have to be cancelled due to pending weather.
