Truro police say a man attempted to abduct an eight-year-old girl from a hotel. Several young girls were on the second floor near a vending machine Saturday evening when they were approached by a stranger. Police say he put his hands on one, but they screamed and he fled.

Lobster stolen from Port Mouton wharf still being investigated
RCMP are still looking for about $6000 worth of lobster. About 600 pounds worth was stolen this month from the Port Mouton wharf, in two separate incidents: first on the 12th, and again on the 18th.
