Kentville Mayor Sandra Snow says the Apple Blossom Festival board is freezing out the town. The board has delayed deciding on where the parade will be held until next week, but that was supposed to have been revealed already. The plan to move it to New Minas has been criticized heavily, with the festival board now saying it’s due to a lack of support by Kentville.

Lunenburg councillor taken off all committees
A Lunenburg town councillor has been taken off all committees. Brian Davis was only elected four months ago, but Mayor Rachel Bailey and councillors Danny Croft and Ronnie Bachman voted for the move. Joseph Carnevale opposed, with CBC reporting he thinks voters should be the ones to decide Davis’ fate.
