A Queens County woman has fallen victim to a dating scam. Nova News Now reports she ended up giving over $50,000 to a man she was talking with on a seniors dating site. Senior Safety Coordinator Kim Masland says another local woman was also targeted, but didn’t give up any money.

SIRT won’t charge Mountie after chase leads to accident
SIRT has found no grounds for charges against a Mountie over an accident in Weston. The officer pursued a vehicle on the 101 July 24th, 2016. The suspect vehicle fled and ended up flipping on Highway 221, after the chase was discontinued for safety reasons. The investigation found the officer’s fast driving was justified in attempting to stop the other vehicle, which left the road going 165 km/h.
